I wonder if Erik Plantenburg knows he set a major league record during his career? Speaking of Erik's, it's kind of weird that both the LHP and RHP records for career decisionless games were set by guys with the first name Erik. There have only been nine major league players (seven pitchers) named Erik, so that's almost unbelievable.

Yes, Plantenberg holds the record. Mike Burns, Glen Perkins, Josh Kinney, and Jose Veras have all picked up a win or loss since the original post and should no longer be on the list. Greg Jones hasn't pitched in the majors since 2007.
Among active players, Fu-Te Ni tops the list at 36 games. Josh Roenicke and Mike Hinckley sit at 29 and 28 games, respectively. Rich Thompson at 22 games is the only other active pitcher with at least 20 career appearances and a 0-0 record.
awesome. good to know i hold a major league record. :) I guess its not a bad or good record to hold. all it means is i never lost a game for us, and i wasn't in the game when we took the lead. i'm surprised that a save is not included in the count, but i guess thats not considered a "decision"
I'm glad I could let you know you hold a record. :) I think of decisions in terms of starting pitching: win, loss, no decision.
I thought I had written another post about 0 win, 0 loss, 0 save pitchers but I guess not. Mike Kinnunen holds that record.

One thing to consider here are people who were on this list but then received a decision. For example, did anyone open their career with 80 no decisons before ultimately getting a win or loss?
As far as I can find, no. Scott Stewart (W) and Ed Olwine (L) both went 47 games before getting a decision but no one who eventually got a decision had more.
